Home Portrait Information
At Paul Jervis Photography we provide portrait sitting in your own home or if you prefer you can choose a favourite location.
The home sitting offers a number of benefits which include:
No time wasted travelling to a studio
You are in comfortable surroundings (especially important for children)
Clothing changes are easy and make the most of the sitting
A favourite toy will never be forgotten
Easier to arrange round children's nap times etc
On arrival we will take time to discuss what you are looking for how that might be achieved. The aim of every shoot is to capture the shots you want and also convey some of the character of the subjects being photographed. The sitting will normally last around 1 hour.
Below is a time lapse video to give you a better idea of how a home portrait sitting works.

We have a background that measures about 7’ High x 7’ Wide and has an 8’ train. There is a choice of white or black.
To make this a practical option the background is self supporting but does need somewhere to rest, ( I have used walls, in front of windows, archways). The space for the train is only needed if you are looking for full length shots.
I have photographed 6 adults using the white background as you can see below, but practically a family of 4-5 works best. Please call me if you have any questions about the suitability of your home.A neutral background or garden can be just as effective if there is not enough space to use the backdrop.
